Victory's History

Richard Gortian opened his first store on Saxer Ave in Springfield in 1959 and opened our current location in 1968.  In addition to his two Springfield stores,  he would go on to open stores in Drexel Hill, Secane, Philadelphia, Glenolden and Broomall.  Along with his brother's and nephew's stores in Aston, Concordville and Ridley,  Victory Cleaners would become the most trusted name in Delaware County.

Richard's wife, Rose, began managing  the store here on Springfield Rd. in 1976.  Her sharp wit combined with her love and dedication to the business made her a customer favorite for 35 years, until her retirement in 2011.
